"Oasis 1" and "Oasis 2" are inspired by a trek I took into the mountains, near where I was staying, to find an Oasis I had seen on my map. I was completely surprised by how magical the place was, full of clicking swishing palms, cool air, dragonflies, birds, and a stream that fed a pond hosting cattails and frogs. These paintings are meant to capture some of the tranquility and liveliness I experienced there.
