"Cusp of Dawn" was inspired by the transition of early morning light in the Mojave Desert. I painted one panel of paper with indigo blush of pre-dawn and another with the sparkling gold peach tones of light breaking across the landscape. I mixed these into each other, slicing and integrating them to evoke progression of morning light.
